The 40.5mm Multi-Coated Protector Filter from Sony is a general use, clear screw-on filter that protects the front element of your lens against scratches, dirt, dust, debris and moisture. It also provides additional protection in case of drops. The filter provides no additional coloration or contrast, allowing you to pair it with others, and can be left on your lens at all times.
The filter is treated on both sides with the Carl Zeiss T* coating for reduced flare, ghosting, and reflections on the filter and lens surfaces. As a result, high light transmission is possible, providing you with additional contrast and high color fidelity. The slim design helps prevent vignetting when using wide-angle lenses. The filter is supplied with a storage case.
