With the SB-5000 AF Speedlight, Nikon has completely rethought both on-camera and off-camera lighting. It features the first shoe-mounted flash cooling system in the world and revolutionary radio control for the Creative Lighting System with Advanced Wireless Lighting. The SB-5000's features alone would place it at the top of the speedlight heap, but it doesn't stop there. It also offers a strong guide number of 113' at ISO 100 and 35mm while also becoming smaller overall than its predecessors.
Naturally, the SB-5000 AF Speedlight works quickly and precisely with Nikon's i-TTL automatic exposure technology, which is available in the majority of their cameras. To fully utilise the capabilities of the radio control system built into the SB-5000, a camera that is compatible with it must be used in conjunction with the WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter and WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller. This eliminates the need for a line of sight and allows the camera and flash to wirelessly operate up to six groups of flashes from up to 98' away. Additionally, for optimum adaptability, the SB-5000's radio system and current optical triggering technology for previous units can be mixed and matched.
