With the OMNI Creative Filter System, Lensbaby has created a fun and practical way to shoot through objects in order to create colorful flare, reflections, and bright, ethereal light streaks. Differing from a creative lens, the OMNI system is a method for placing objects, such as crystals, films, and other translucent substrates, in front of your lens to produce distinct effects. Additionally, by having these objects attached to the front of your lens, instead of handholding them, you can achieve more repeatable and predictable results.

This system is designed for lenses with filter threads ranging from 49-82mm and includes three Effect Wands (Crystal Seahorse, Stretch Glass, and Rainbow Film), along with two arms for holding the objects and two magnets for securing the arms to the filter ring.

Effect Wands

• The Crystal Seahorse is a unique, organic-shaped crystal with a multitude of angles and edge scallops to produce complex flare, light redirection, and bright and colorful reflections.
• The Stretch Glass has a large planar surface area that helps to create bright stretches and streaks of light over the image. Shooting through the flat and curved sides yields a controllable streaky quality while shooting through the glass at an angle can produce colorful, reflective, and luminous results.
• The Rainbow Film diffracts light and produces beaming rainbows from any bright light source.

Bonus Reflection Wands

• The Partial Mirror Reflection Wand is silver on both sides. When held at a steep angle such as a 90° angle to your sensor/the front of your lens, this wand will reflect nearly 100% and transmits 0% through the mirrored surface. When held at a steep angle, such as a 45° angle to the front of your sensor/lens, As much as 30% of your image will come from the subject on the opposite side of the mirrored surface while 70% or more of your image will come from the reflected image in the silver mirroring of the wand.
• The Silver and Gold Mirror Wand reflects a gold-tinted reflection on one side and a silver reflection on the other. With both reflection wands, use the long, flat edge of the mirror for a well-defined horizon line between the reflection and the non-reflected image. Use the curved edge for a softer feel to the division between the reflected and non-reflected areas of your image.

Mounting System

• Included filter rings have 58 and 77mm threads for attaching directly to a lens. 49, 52, 55, 62, 67, and 72mm step-up rings are also included. An 82mm step-down ring is included as well, however may cause vignetting when used on wide-angle lenses with focal lengths shorter than 50mm.
• Magnetic mounting system allows for flexible positioning of the wands anywhere around the front of the lens.
• Two magnetic mounts are included to hold the effect wands in place on the filter ring. Each mount can hold up to two wands at once.
• Both a long arm and a short arm are included for more flexible positioning of the wands.
• A sleek pouch holds and protects the OMNI Creative Filter System when not in use.
