The Insta360 ONE R Vertical Battery Base allows you to set up the ONE R camera vertically for various applications, including mounted on the optional ONE R Drone Mount. The Core module mounts on top of this base, and the lens module goes on top of the Core. All the lens modules are compatible: the 360 Mod, 1" Mod, and 4K Mod. The base and camera can further be installed in the Vertical Bumper Case, a separately sold exterior case that holds the entire setup neatly encased. The Vertical Battery Base provides a 1/4"-20 tripod mount on the bottom, and the optional bumper case allows access to the threaded mount. The Vertical Battery Base can be used in underwater activities only if set up with the 360 Mod inside the optional ONE R Dive Case for Dual-Lens 360 Mod, which is a vertical dive case specifically for such a setup.

The Vertical Battery Base has a USB Type-C port on top for connecting the Core module, and it features a USB Type-C charging port with a charging indicator light on the side. The side port is for charging only and does not support data transfers or the ONE R mic adapter.
